I am considering moving back to my home town in bolton for the next academic year, but I will be living on my own in my own flat and commuting to uni, will this considerably reduce my loan amount if I am only 3/4 miles away from my parents compared to only 10 miles now?

any answers will be useful

Hi,

As long as you are not living in the same house/flat as your parents, you can still apply for the 'elsewhere / living away from home' rate of Maintenance Loan.

Please note your Maintenance Loan entitlement would be reduced next year if you are going into the final year of your course.

Thanks
