Psychology in the UK is generally accredited by the British Psychological Society, providing that the uni does key modules, such as social, developmental, cognitive psychology. Generally people do key modules in years 2 and 3 (including research methods, statistics) and then choose optional modules in year 3 based on their interests. The best way to get a flavour is to look at some uni websites for their module overviews

It varies from uni to uni what modules are when, altho research and stats will have to be in the first year.

To get into uni they look at your grades from A Levels or equivalent - the exams you take for qualifications at 18 and the grades you get in those
