Hi guys, im new. Anyway, i'm in year 11 and i am taking my final exams next may.

I am predicted all A*s and i know i am capable of it, i just don't know how.

The subjects i am taking and what i am aiming for are:

    spanish A*
    maths A*
    English language A
    english language igcse A
    physics A*
    chemistry A
    pe theory (btec D/A
    History A
    business A
    RE A
    biology B
    English literature. B

Now i am confident i can get these grades in maths and spanish, for the rest i am stuck.

My plan was just to read from revision guides, but that doesn't seem to work.

I want to get A*s in the 3 above as i will take them for A level.

So for those aiming for As, how are you planning to achieve it. And past GCSEers..how did you do it.

    Thanks in advance.

I just asked the same thing, really don't understand the concept of good revision

I just think "i'm simply testing my memory here for which will be gone by the morning" i don't see how some people revise 'effectively'.

Write out your own dedicated notes, even if you never read from them again (I did this for as and got a's in chem bio English maths so it should wrk for gcse).
Tonnes of past papers and questions.
Really all there is to it tbh, hard part is doing it but gcses aren't to difficult so you won't need to do that much work anyway.

I got roughly your aimed grades, maybe a little higher, by 1A* or such. What I did? Crammed all the week before the first test, and then revised for two days before each other test after that. Worked? Yes.

Have you tried doing mock exams in your room under timed conditions? Mark it and learn from your mistakes?
