How long do i have to wait?

I was out clubbin last night and a girl that i really liked asked for my number so i gave it to her. I'm particularly keen on this girl and really like her. So obviously i can't wait for her to ring or text me.

What i want to no is that how long do you people usually wait before they ring someone up?

I think most of us probably read the "can't" in "So obviously i can't wait for her to ring or text me." as being literal. As in, he can't wait for her to ring him, so he'll ring her.

But apparently we were wrong.

No, I understood it - I just thought it would be a bit stupid to give your number out and just hope they'd call you: it's always best to get theirs too if you actually liked them.

Edit - at least he's learnt his lesson.

Go to the same club next week and see if she's there - simple.

But if you show someone you like them too early that kills the attraction. I recommend the OP waits for three or four days.

That is too early, unless he wants to come across as desperate. Give it three/four days. That way he will be able to properly test her interest in him by seeing if she is still enthusiastic and interested. Also, I would recommend you to keep the phone call short and sweet- arrange the date and don't get into a conversation with her. If she acts with disinterest or seems unenthusiastic don't bother with her.
