Internet Dating...

I just posted myself up on one of those internet online dating sites...and was wondering if i've suddenly gone crazy!!!

where i live there isnt that much dating potential for myself. and to top that off, iam really mature/serious so i dont really click or 'connect' with most guys my age :frown:

has anyone here ever tried one of those websites???and how did it work itself out?

and to make matters worse when i did a search of compatible guys there was like only 8!!!! for around my age group.

maybe i have gone insane...help...i need advice and reasurrance desperatly!

I'm a little sceptical of them. But I understand it is a way to meet people (if only virtually to begin with) and it does work for some people.

Well you're not insane, at least no more than the rest of us. You want to met somone, thats understandable. Loads of people sign up to those sites. Just think like this: if it does work and you find somone then it will be fantastic, if you don't, then so what. You can just look back on it and have a giggle.

Do you mean a normalish thing or something like AdultFriendFinder where 90% of profile are fake to get you to give them money just to send a message to your new imaginary friend?
