What working have you done so far?

Do you have lecture notes you can read to try and get a basic idea?

Yes I've read and understand the notion of a markov chain. But representing this particular problem as a markov chain I have not a clue. Any help ?

If it helps, I think you're supposed to approach this by finding the expected number of customer changes before the store can close, and then relate that to the expected time between customer changes.
