Does this sound desperate girls?

Ok here's the situation. Met this girl in a club a few months ago and have been chatting ever since. The problem is that she lives almost in the other end of the country. So because we cannot see each other we've been texting a lot. The problem is that she hardly ever seems to have any credit on her phone. Sometimes she won't have any cred for like a week. The thing is that I constanty text her anyway even when I know she doesn't have any money on her phone. It's probably about a text per day just talking about stuff so not too bad.

Anyway I was just wondering if this may come across as desperate? I can't seem to stop myself from texting cos i miss her so much. Just I don't want it to seem to clingy or whatever.

What do you think people? Girl opinions would be very welcome.....

I don't think she's very interested to be honest

"I didn't have any credit" sounds like a lame excuse, but it might not be... I guess it depends on the girl, either shes freaked out by now ... but unlikely cos 1 per day is hardly alot (one of my mates sent 11 in one night to a girl who didnt really like him, then got humiliated when she showed us the texts which detailed him "not feeling the same when shes not around" etc... good times)... now thats desperate and dogy, this sounds mediocre and fine to me.

Well, I get annoyed when people text me and I don't have credit. Have you only ever seen her the once? If so, then I think you are going a bit ott and maybe you should let it lie...sorry hun

The thing is she does have to use her credit to call home every night cos she doesn't live at home because she goes to ballet school....

Reply 5

sounds like shes not interested mate ... at least stop texting her every day is she doesnt reply, let her start texting you ... if she doesn't then move on ... otherwise you're just being a stalker

Reply 6

why don't you call her instead of texting?

Reply 7

Doesn't sound like it's really going anywhere. If she really liked you, she's find a way of getting in contact.

Reply 8

Sori mate, I dont think shes interested. find someone else who lives near you, you'll be much better off!

Reply 9

sorry hun, but yeah i don't think she's interested. Like other people have said, if she was she'd find a way of getting in contact with you.

Call her... be straight and assertive and ask her.
Nobody here can give you the answer- but it does sound likely that she is being cowardous and making up some lame excuse instead of telling you. :frown:

Here's a suggestion. Stop texting her, if she is interested she'll text you at some point, in which case she is clearly interested in you in some way. However, there is always the chance that she isn't interested in you, if this is the case then you may not hear from her again. I know this is abit drastic but theres no point getting your hopes up just to be let down

I never accept no credit as a reason that lasts a week. What the HELL do you do in a week that makes you not have time to reload your phone? If it's exams week, then that's acceptable, otherwise she sounds very NOT interested enough to bother getting credit to text you back.

From what you have said it does not seem like she is worth bothering with. Firstly, because she lives at the other end of the country and also because she dosen't seem particularly enthusiastic to respond to your messages. You would be much better off finding a girl nearer to you to set up a relationship with. Just stopping texting her as you are coming across as completely desperate and once you stop texting you will be able to gauge her interest leves properly by seeing if she makes more effort to respond, although I recommend you forget about her as the initial signs aren't good.
And a word of warning, be careful about thinking that girl's advice is better than guys on issues like this.

Mate, I might have to disagree with people on here- she might genuinely not have credit, I've been in the situation myself. Fair enough, I usually do top up, but sometimes if it's too much fuss I just leave it for a bit. However, texting, repeatedly, when they dont/cant reply should be avoided. You definitely haven't gone too far, it's only one text a day, but if you carry it on, it'll just make you look too keen. Wait and see if she replies.

Good luck!
