Most IB's are located around Liverpool Street, rather than Liverpool :wink:

Maybe try some small fund managers or accountants to get some experience (assuming thats what you're after- check Pogel17's thread from a while back, I believe he did some at Liverpool).

Hi,

There are no major IB offices in Liverpool unfortunately :mad:

There are a few 2nd tier brokers and corporate finance boutiques. Numis and Shore Capital are have offices in Liverpool and do advisory and equity research. The nearest IB office is the Manchester office of Rothschild.

The main thing Liverpool does have is wealth managers who i reckon are good for doing work experience at. Theres:

Rathbones
Rensburg Sheppards (Did the student week there. Its full for this year. If you are interested for next year then write to them now).
Midas Capital Partners (Did a week here)
Tilney Investment Managers (Doing three weeks here in August)
Coutts
Morgan Stanley Quilter (Basically the MS wealth management service for grannies)

Theres also Walker Cripps and Blankstone Sington who are stockbrokers.
