Put my foot in it

Im really depressed at the moment as i think i've put my foot in it in my new relationship. We've only been going out with each other a week or so and things were going so well, she's liked me for 4 yrs and ive liked her for a few months. its such a stupid thing!!

I logged onto msn and as i got on she logged of so just messing around i sent a message saying "ooo i seen that you slimey arab" stupid of me i know. She sent oneback saying what am i going on about and that i couldn't of offended her any worse. i tried to ring her but her phone was off (maybe as it was quite late) i sent her a message instead saying sory and that it was me with a sense of humour failure etc. she hasn't got back to me because she hasn't got credit but she has access to email at work. so im in the crap i think....
If i ring her she might think im obsessed or something so i dont want to ring her again, although i will tonight if she doesn't get back.

HOW DO I GET THINGS TO HOW THEY WERE??? it was so good until i was a pratt...please help, thanks!

Is she an Arab? If not, its' an over-reaction on her part in my opinion, just lie low and let things blow over. Maybe a small gesture to make things up to her. If she really likes you, she'll get over it.

Don't be too crawling. You've already apologised, so just text her later and ask her what she's up to or something. Then as you start talking, just say, "Can we forget what I said? You know I didn't mean anything by it, I'm just an idiot at times." Then you'll be sorted, unless she's very unreasonable.

Btw, me and my mates always insult wach other in a friendly way like that, so I get why you did it. Our favoured one is 'you dirty Mexican' though lol
