Help-withdrawal, Pill And Pregnancy
Ok guys i need some help here! If you had sex with someone, unprotected, but he with drew from you before he ejaculated, it's unlikey that you'll be pregnant right? I know it's risky....also, then say your period came the next day, does this mean you wont be pregnant? Or would it be the next period that you miss....? I'm quite scared, i really do not want a child right now. But basically i'm on my period at the moment so you'd assume i wouldn't be pregnant right? And then as of tomorrow I'm starting the pill....but that's quite scary too, because i wouldnt know if i was pregnant then would i, as u get "fake periods," on the pill. When would u start gettin symptons if u were pregant, and what wld they be....aaaaaah please help me!

you can still get pregnant sperm can leak out even if he withdraws before he climaxes i'd get a test.
okay. firstly: Withdrawal is not a safe method. If you dont want children and are not on the pill, use condoms.
secondly, you could be pregnant. If you have your period right now, it is unlikely, but possible.
the only way to find out is to do a pregnancy test. Its safe and then you´ll know. tadaa!

I'm 18, i dont make a habit out of the withdrawal method but a condom really was not practical in this situation, i mean we started with one but...it kind of failed !
Well sorry if you don't want kids use a condom, simple as that.
The withdrawal method is highly unrealiable and should never be used. Yes you can still get pregnant from it. If you're on your period then you my not be pregnant. However, do a test. Hopefully this will teach you not to get carried away in a moment when the repercusiion could last a lifetime.

right i am talking to a connexions advisor...i think they know the real facts, so far my advisor has said its unlikely because i have a period.

The pregnancy test would be unlikely to pick it up until she was about 2 weeks pregnany anyway so this isn't bad advice if she waits a bit longer she is more likely to get a reliable result.
To the OP you are unlikely to be pregnant if you got your period the day after you had unprotected sex as by that stage of you cycle your egg would be unlikely to be viable. However I would advice you wait a bit and take a test before you start panicing. Your local family planning clinic will probably do one for free. Going on the pill is also a good idea once you are sure you a not pregnant.

Before abour 2-3 weeks into the pregnancy, the levels of hCG in the blood are not sufficient enough to be detected by a home test.
