I want to buy it mainly for warmth and also because it is comfy and last long.

Looking to get three, one for me and the others will be gifts to my mom and dad.

M&S have same pricing as John Lewis, they are all £80 and above.

I might compromise and get merino for dad and myself.

Charity shops, Ebay and car boot sales if you want them extra-cheap; M&S is still ~£100 for one piece.

It is better to get a £70 merino jumper than a £70 cashmere jumper.
Cashmere is a luxury good, you don't actually need it, because other wools do the same job as cashmere. And it is not worth buying cheap cashmere, because it won't last very long.

If you want to get cheap, but mid-range/high quality cashmere. I would look around at yoox. Check out brands like Drumohr, Ballantyne, Borelli. And if you are lucky you can find them for <£100.
