Hello! Would you accept A*A*B or equivalent for the access scholarship?

Hello,

Equivalent grades would not be accepted for scholarship purposes.

Hello,

Any application where the applicant does not meet the conditions of the offer will have the application reviewed, taking into account the personal statement, academic reference and qualifications. In previous years where applicants have narrowly missed the requirements, typically by one or possibly 2 grades, there was a good chance of receiving an offer.

I am afraid that this cannot be guaranteed year on year as this is dependent upon the whole cohort of applicants.

Hello, is there any accommodation available over the summer for students who are starting first year in September. My rent runs out of the 7th of july and i haven't really got anywhere else to go at the moment.

Hi there, I'm a conditional offer holder for Biological Sciences BSc at Lancaster and I've decided to firm it, but I was wondering if the 'flexible study' applied for that course as I didn't see anything regarding it on the course page on the website?

Hope to hear from you guys on this because I was thinking of taking modules in Arts or Theatre in my first year and I was just wondering if it was applicable for my course.

Thank you!

Hello,

Most degree courses allow students to take 1 or 2 minor courses. Looking at choice of minor subjects, some departments may recommend students take complementary subjects from a predetermined list; however, timetable and entry requirement permitting, you should have a high degree of flexibility when choosing.

If you would like to know what typical Biological Sciences students study and, if applicable, how many minor subjects you take and if any are recommended subjects I recommend getting in touch with your major department.

Hello,

I'm interested in the MSc Money, Banking and Finance. I am currently pursuing the BSc Accounting & Finance in Sunway-Lancaster program and I will be graduating in March 2016. Is it possible for me to get a conditional offer without showing my final year result? I got a 2:1 in year 2 and expected to graduate with a 2:1 degree as well.

Hello Julia,

Have you seen the undergraduate accommodation information pages? There is a quick breakdown of what each accommodation type contains and a matrix of costs per accommodation type, College and let length.

Hopefully you can find all the information you require here, if not you can always contact the accommodation office directly via [email protected] with any further questions.

Hello,

Thank you for your message.

It is possible to be given an offer conditional on your BSc final result. You can apply for 2016 MSc Money, Banking and Finance programme via our online applications portal here where you can upload all transcripts that you have up to this point in your studies. Before the offer can be made unconditional the admissions team will need to see your final BSc mark.

Hello,

About the scholarships, I was wondering whether a Distinction * in a BTEC subject would qualify as an A* needed for either scholarship?

Thanks!

Hello,
I would like to know. In offer there was written that I need to obtain 9 average in all subjects, is it a problem if I have my final average 8.82 ?

Hello,

If an eligible student has taken a mix of A-Level and BTEC qualifications a Distinction * could be included in meeting the scholarship requirements. If an eligible student is taking only BTEC based qualifications the following would be required: Academic Scholarship - D*D*D, Access Scholarship - D*DD.

Hello,

Previously, should an applicant fall narrowly below the stated offer requirements there is still a good chance of being accepted onto the course or a similar course; this cannot be guaranteed each year but has certainly been the case in previous years.

The best next step once you recevie confirmation of your results is to send them to your university choices. If your academic qualifications will not be sent automatically to your university choices via UCAS please send copies of your certificates and/or transcripts via email to [email protected].
