haha, I'm gonna assume you're a virgin OP.

Trust me, porn is the ONLY place where sex looks "sexy"

When you start getting laid you will realize how ****ing ugly sex looks. Its a weird combination of things that all look weird. The noises bodies make are also strange. Sex is strange overall.

but o so awesome.

The whole point of porn/literotica is escapism. So you can imagine something that technically isn't possible or illegal or something like that. Not to compare it to real life. if real life girls got ****ed how porn girls got ****ed we'd have a bunch of strange walking females pottering around all the time and mens cocks would be exploding out of their trousers every so often.

But the fact remains that there will be many young men and women who actually judge their potential partners for not matching up to the ideals that they could get from behind the screen, right?
And besides, it's not unrealistic. Take Ryan Gosling or Channing Tatum. Any of the big Hollywood stars

I think only younger people get unrealistic expectations from porn. Everybody else? Nah

One thing that porn definitely does lie about is the girls and the legality and abuse that they are almost always put through and dragged into within the industry.
This is a really good educational video for some of you... I think if you watch porn (which I myself do) you should not avoid watching this.

Edit; if for some reason it won't show, vid is here.

Also to whoever said real sex is not sexy aesthetically - you must be having it wrong.

Due to reasons such as this I try to only read LitErotica. However the expectations women have of men on there are just as bad!

Basically one lady with too much makeup and another that doesn't have enough make up saying why the porn industry is so bad for women

Seriously I deserve a medal now.

Not to mention the men in porn get treated much worse.

If it bothers you and you still want to watch porn, you could try watching lesbian porn? It might make you feel less inferior

Of course. To try and put it simply, the porn industry often lies drastically about how the girls* are treated - they can get away with almost anything, or think they can, because these girls are young and impressionable and in that moment they need the money. You will never see these lies on camera. Often the workers may have been abused themselves and can't escape or get into a better life, or they come from dysfunctional backgrounds and again cannot escape this slum-side of life. Studios will say they are using condoms and doing all they can to protect their 'employees' against STDs, they will say that they aren't having any sexual liquids and bodily fluids coming into contact with girls - which is illegal in several states - and they will say other things that will make people buy their stuff. In reality, condoms are very, very rarely used, the girls will have no say over what goes over them, and if you watch the video you will learn how filthy and dangerous a common setting for a shoot really is. It is simply never on camera; you will only hear of it from those who have been fortunate enough to escape from the industry. A girl has little to no power. If she says she won't do anal and she stays within the industry, she will likely eventually be forced to do it or suffer. Rape, trafficking, manipulation and abuse - these are all rife, directors are often pimps. To me it's on the larger side a hideous, hideous industry all for the gain of some '17 year old kid 2000 miles away' who wants to get off. There are safer sides to it all. There are exemptions. But I think anyone who considers the industry 'good' at all and writes off the suffering and abuse of so, so many, needs to wake up and look past their own privilege.

Have a look at this page, featured on Shelley's foundation website for a few of their own facts and opinions, but mostly, please watch the video if you do have time. ^^ The outcoming message is invaluable, in my opinion.

And do guys have a say in what they do?
If someone chooses to not do anal, of course it will affect their career, it rightfully should. I couldn't expect a job over anyone else because I refuse to do something which the company wants when many others will.
People do things they wouldn't normally do for money, that's why we have money, I dont think they are any more exploited than someone who needs money so work in mcdonalds.
Sexual health is important but I think some of the responsibility lies on the "actors" if they get infected with an std due to the business not doing what they are lwgally required, sue them. Its not different to factories who don't create a safe work environment.
To be honest, i think all this crap that everyone watches just gives completely wrong messages to society. Everybody wants their partner to look better than everyone else, but in reality, someone will always look better than you, someone will always be prettier than you, someone will always have a better body than you so why get so hooked up on how someone looks? Love isn't about how attractive you find someone, it's about finding someone who will care and love you no matter what. Someone you can trust and knows their priorities, not run after the next hot person they see.
People are shallow, it doesn't go much deeper than looks. We are better than that and worth more than good looks. It shouldn't matter, as long as your hearts in the right place and you do whats right, what could be more beautiful than that? Don't forget that beautiful people are not always good, but good people are always beautiful

1) Girls don't really watch porn
2) Girls have strange expectations after read cliched romance novels, such as Twilight.
3) If a girl is going to like you for your body, what's the point?
(personally I prefer guys without 'abs', I'm a girl)

I showed inclusivity within my post a few times, the *primary* focus for this post is however on the female workers being the majority of the abused, with many of the men having the power and control within the industry of heterosexual pornography. Don't get all MRA and deny that, that would be a shame.
The case I am mainly referring to is the example from the video, where one of the women who explicitly did not do anal, whose agent promised she would not be doing anal, was then forced to do anal at a job.
I can't believe you are comparing working within McDonalds to being an abused worker exploited in the sex industry?! Can't even justify that ridiculous comparison with a response really.
As to sueing, it simply isn't that complicated. When you're the underdog people will deny everything you say, and the worker will definitely be lower than an underdog. The studios will be so used to smacking people down legally and covering their own selfish, lying faces against court cases. Court cases also require money - which these workers will just not have. It's all very well to say 'just complain' when you're being ****ed with, but in reality most people don't have the agency or ability to complain. It's a shame you are trying so hard to defend something so obviously corrupt. =/

1) Incorrect. 'You/your girl friends'*, perhaps.

In the modern porn industry, anal is normal. If you refuse to do it, walk away from the job, or be more picky with what you do.
My point with Mcdonalds is perfectly valid, so I'm guessing you didn't respond because you couldn't. Part of your reasoning that they are being exploited was they needed money, that is irrelevant, almost everyone works for money and people in Mcdonalds are in such a low financial position they do something they hate for a very small amount of money.
Sueing may be complicated (I assume that's what you meant) but if the situation is obviously as bad as you say with companies completely ignoring the law then the case should be very easy because even you know the companies are doing something illegal not an advanced lawyer who is experienced in such matters.
Men may have power and control in the industry, as men do in most industries. However, I believe a male pornstar who refused to do anal would also in no uncertain terms be told where to go.
If women were in control of the industry, I don't think things would be any different. They still work in a ruthless industry where expectations are high of their employees. The fact you've jumped on to the fact it is men exploiting women is just weird, the point you should be making is bosses ( who happen to be male) exploiting employees( who happen to be female) there's no reason to believe it is because of gender.

And don't say your post was inclusive:

Women pornstars moaning because they have to anal for more money? LOL they should try being a male pornstar who frequently go 'gay for pay' with homosexual scenes paying out three times as much as regular ones. Can't get it up either? In that case you have 2 choices... **** off or inject a needle in there with a drug.
Yes I think it does, and my concern is that it leads some young men and women to see certain things as standard, normal, call it what you like. I think that the proportion of young women (usually) who tell of having sex they were unhappy with, or worse still forced into, cannot be unconnected. Then there is the influence in personal grooming (to use a phrase).

Because Ryan Gosling and Channing Tatum are definitely realistic role models...jesus the average guy looks nothing like them plus the definition you see on the screen is mostly CGI enhanced abs and muscles. In fact both women and men on the big screen will have CGI enhancements these days,

To the people moaning about porn effecting the youth of today. Yes it does effect the youth of today, it bigs sex up to them till they actually have it and realize that yes it is fun and yes it is enjoyable but its not the amazing spectacle that porn makes it out to be. When you have sex especially frequently you understand that porn is just entertainment. A realm for the regular individual to escape to when life becomes too dull and boring.

We all know it's Margaret Thatcher, naked, having a cold shower.

...right?

Thank the heavens, I thought I was the only one.

But really though, porn is *designed* to be as erotic as possible, and therefore it shouldn't be too surprising to learn that in the real world, people come in all sorts of shapes and sizes.
