Please somebody
If you can't find the specific course you're after perhaps just consider taking Computer Science it's very broad and the things you learn on it would allow you to go into Software Testing.

This is good advice. Most larger games companies expect even QAIQC to have been educated to at least degree level. It requires a great deal of inner game knowledge and, as there is a huge deal of paperwork, exceptional English skills.
In our company, for example, we use the JIRA system which has three separate scales for bug severity based on things like priority. For example, a bug that breaks the game outright may be an A0, meaning it must be sorted right away... the individual QA tech has to track down the root of this and determine which asset, piece of broken logic or in-game trigger causes this bug to manifest, so can then refer it back to the relevant developer.

Relevant degrees include computer science, computer games technology and computer arts. Abertay Dundee is still number one for games-related degrees in the UK.
