Yes. In fact, there are so many little things they could do. If they brought back park keepers, for example, maybe the sports facilities wouldn't end up being smashed to pieces, and the footy pitches/basketball courts wouldn't end up covered with broken glass.

Good idea.

Surely that's better than the footy pitches/basketball courts ending up covered with broken glass and bits of fat park-keepers

yes thats an intelligent idea *sarcasm*

Well not taxing BMI seems to work for ummm....almost every single other country in the world.
Some people are fat due to comfort eating. Perhaps if more was done to address feelings of depression and low self-esteem, comfort eating would decrease.

Has this point already been made? Only something at the back of my mind is telling me it has.

Or perhaps if people were'nt fat they may feel less depressed and have higher self esteem in the first place.

So we can either treat their depression with drugs or therapy in the hope that they will begin to feel better about themselves and therefore eat less or we can treat their obesity in a more direct manner - the treadmill.

Tax on certain foodstuffs = Good idea.

BMI tax = Costly to enforce, and problematic to enforce - not to mention - how do you tax people who dont work?
