You need Chemistry for biochemistry. You need 2 science subjects for environmental science which can include maths, chemistry, biology or physics.

Therefore, you should take biology and chemistry, only if you want to though.

I agree with the above. Biology and Chemistry would be ideal. Geography, English Literature, Biology and Chemistry sound like a perfect combination

From what you've said definitely biology and chemistry, and then if you want to do 3 to A2 drop english lit after AS.

You want to study biochemistry?
If so why are you asking if you should take biology and chemistry?

I study BSc marine environmental science, but my first year is shared with those studying just environmental science. It's a very diverse course and would say studying any of these would make life a lot easier: biology, chemistry, maths, physics, ict, geology, geography, environmental science. But I would say that if you do want to study environmental science and want to make uni as easy of possible, pick from... maths or physics, then geology or geography or environmental science and then biology and chemistry. Because if you pick maths or physics and you're good at it, it will be enough to make the other one easy enough in your first year at least. You don't have to do what I suggest, but from experience those would be the best combinations. I did A2 biology, chemistry, geography and psychology and AS maths and am finding most of the course quite easy. My friend did geography, environmental science and biology and is finding the chemistry/maths/physics somewhat tricky. But if you did say biology, chemistry, maths, English then that would also be acceptable and still make your first year very manageable at least. And if you decide to go for biochemistry, then those are good choices to.
