pls help me with this question.

magnesium reacts with sulfuric acid to produce a solution of magnesium sulfate. if this is allowed to crystallize out the solid produced has the formula MgSO4.7H2O. write the equation for the reaction and calculate the mass of magnesium sulfate heptahydrate that could be produced from 4g of magnesium.

thanks in advance!

You are told what two of the reagents are, you are told what is the main product.

What else can be produced when the metal is dissolved in an acid?

You are producing hydrated salt, so you will need water - not a problem, as reaction takes place in water solution.

Can you list now all reactants and all products? If so, all you need to do is to balance the equation.
