P2 Questions in P3

I was doing a past paper and found questions about supernova in p3.How come?

They want to test that you don't just do a test and forget everything. It's called synoptic questions.
That is very odd. Are you sure the question was actually testing you on the knowledge from P2, and wasn't simply using supernovae as a context for knowledge from P3? Do you have a link to this paper, because I'm fairly certain that this couldn't happen.
What year was the paper from? Remember if you're doing AQA, they remodified their papers, and the only avaliable and actual current paper of syllabus that has been used is the summer 2013 one! I did the summer 2013 and I don't remember a question about supernova's especially not where you actually needed your P2 knowledge!

You might find if it's an old paper that the star cycle was previously in P2! Don't worry about it - if it's not on your written breakdown of syllabus on your exam board I doubt they will test you on it! :-)
