Why is your uni better for me than somewhere like Oxford/Durham that is more prestigious? I have 6 a*s and 5 as at GCSE if that helps

At De Montfort University we have over 400 subject areas which students can choose from, with all courses delivered by academics who specialise in specific areas and are passionate about what they do.

De Montfort University is employment focused and we strive on getting students the career they want after they graduate. We have a dedicated on site careers team, who will give advice on how students can get the job they want after they graduate. The University provides 1,850 work placement opportunities for over 170 accredited courses, allowing students to graduate with an understanding of the work place sector.

We have just launched an exciting intiative programme called DMU Global, in which 50% of students will be given the opportunity to undertake relevant work and study related experiences in other countries across the world. In January 2014 we are going to be running our DMU Global pilot programme which will offer current DMU students various opportunities in eight countries.

There are also plenty of opportunities for students to work whilst they study. We have a Unitemps branch based here at the University, so there will be the opportunity to sign up to Unitemps for part time work. We also have a Frontrunners programme, in which De Montfort University is one of two Universities that run a Frontrunners initiative.
