Syria Targets Israeli Patrol With Bomb

The Israeli army said on Saturday that an Israeli military vehicle had been damaged by a bomb set off by Syrians on frontier of the occupied Golan Heights.

The attack on Friday was thought to be the first targeted bombing of Israeli forces since the start of Syria's civil war although the army could not confirm that was the case.

The vehicle was damaged but nobody was hurt.

A military spokeswoman said the explosion was caused by a concealed device placed on the Syrian side of the frontier fence but it was unclear which of the Syrian factions were responsible.

Fire from fighting between forces loyal to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and rebels has occasionally spilled over into the Golan but is thought to have been largely accidental.

On several occasions Israel has responded after stray munitions landed in Israeli-controlled territory, often aiming tank shells across the border at the sources of fire in Syria.

Israel has also attacked from the air convoys of sophisticated munitions that Syria has tried to ship to its Hezbollah ally in Lebanon and has reportedly been behind other attacks on targets in Syria but has declined to confirm this.

Israel captured the strategic plateau from Syria in the 1967 Middle East war. It annexed it in 1981 in a move that has not been internationally recognised.

On Monday, Israeli troops hit a target in Syria after its troops were shot at on the Golan Heights, the military said. There were no Israeli casualties in the incident.

Israel urges that the international community heed its warning when approaching Syria, and demands an explanation!
The Syrian regime takes no responsibility for this attack; any and all indiscrimate attacks outside of our borders are by-products of terrorist activity that we are continuing to try to purge within our own borders.
The Democratic People's Republic of Korea welcomes this development, and would like to officially provide our support for cleansing the land of the False State by a sea of fire and retribution from the international armies of people's liberation, led by the unassailable, omnipotent and enlightened leadership of Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un (but not Jang Song-thaek, whose existence is mere myth), provided Syria is courageous enough to grasp this opportunity.

The MHoC expresses its solidarity towards the soldiers who were attacked, and reiterates its previous position that the Assad regime has lost credibility and needs to go.

The Syrian Regime is outraged by this statement, on what grounds does the MHoC representative believe that the opposition to our legitimate government is any more credible than ourselves?

To clarify for you the MHoC did not state which of the many groups in Syria it currently views as the legitimate government; the MHoC was merely stating that the regime that gasses its own people by the hundred cannot be that government. We have yet to make any explicit statement of support for any other group.

There is no proof that the Syrian regime used its chemical weapon stockpile against its own people, we abhor that opinion. Although chemical weapons were certainly used, they were most certainly not of government origin. We would urge the international community and the MHoC to abstain from commenting on an internal matter, in which our government is attempting to bring stability, not prolong it.

Russia asks MHoC to redact these ridiculous allegations of which you have no proof. President Assad supported by his government and by the Russia Federation are dealing with a terrorist problem within its own borders and are of no concern of those that Syria does not wish to involve. Any intrusion by an unwanted presence would be a violation of Syria's sovereignty and such a violation would be a grave mistake by the perpetrator or perpetrators. To prevent these terrorists from gaining access to weapons of mass destruction and then using them upon innocent civilians of Syria. President Assad has been destroying any and all stockpiles of these chemical reagents along with the support of Russia.

Saudi Arabia supports Syria since without sufficient Proof the Israelite troops cannot form such levels of accusations.
To assume that President Assad lost his "Credibility" after all his efforts to eradicate Terrorist activities and that his regime should end is a direct call from The Israelite army to overthrow the present Government, using such events as an excuse to intervene in an already terror struck state.

The MHoC apologies for the late reply. However, we do not apologize for having stated what is almost certainly true. Many sources have verified that Sarin gas has been used and UN investigators have found "credible evidence" that it was the Assad regime which used the weapons. Based on these reports, and also on the fact that the rebels do not have the logistical capabilities to use chemical weapons (confirmed by another UN report), and also that the areas targeted were not loyalist areas, we believe there is more than sufficient grounds to state that it was the Assad government which used them.

We agree that a handful of the opposition members do indeed classify as 'terrorists,' though as stated before we do not currently openly support any particular group in the conflict.

Iran feels that military action against Israel by Syria is not the way forward, however, we will not comment further on the matter until it is investigated and confirmed as an intentional attack.

Iran further deplores the sympathy tactics by Israel, and reminds the international community that Israel illegally annexed the Golan Heights, which remains Syrian territory in the eyes of the world. As well as illegally occupying the Golan Heights, Israel continues to illegally occupy areas outside of the 1967 borders in the Palestinian lands, and commits heinous crimes against the Palestinians.

Iran intends to bring the struggle of the Palestinians against a military oppressor to the forefront of UN business in the coming weeks.
