I'm in sixth form at the moment and i'm a little bit bummed out that I've never had a girlfriend or a "link" as they call it here. I've kissed girls and thats it.

Its becoming like a problem for me now and i don't want it to be like that, my friends have pretty much all lost their v's (I'm in a group of mixed boys and girls) so i feel like an odd one out .

It may just be me but I really am not into the whole "pulling" scene at parties and out in clubs etc. is it normal to not be a fan of this? I just want to meet a girl, take her out on dates and then eventually be in a relationship but it seems like where I'm from everyone is just out to bag as many girls as they can which i find really off putting as i actually want to get to know the girl before i sleep with them.

but yeh anyone have any advice on just meeting girls, I'm not an under confident person i guess i just need to be in the right surroundings.

anyway thanks for reading if you did read all that ! haha

Ah, don't worry, it's not a big deal. I'm older than you and have never had a proper relationship. Just talk to girls, be true to yourself, and sooner or later there will likely be someone who finds you very attractive and interesting. There's no cheats or tricks, just human bonding.

that's not sad, everyone takes different times and not everyone is into getting with randoms. when you meet the right person you will not care how long it took. best way to meet girls is probably uni... or join a choir or something :P

Nobody "likes" the pulling scene, they like the shag they get when it works. You say you don't like meeting girls at parties and clubs, do you have somewhere else you will meet girls and ask on a date? If not, you're going to need to start expanding your social circle and try and meet girls through friends.

Either way, there are far more important things in life than this.

Don't let anyone mock you for never having had a girlfriend. I'm 7 years older than you and have never had a girlfriend before Nobody bothers me about it. As long as you just ignore the people who do and do not feel evidently uncomfortable about it, they'll stop mocking you.

Oh just get a grip.

You are 17.

You probably don't even replace your own toilet paper.

Yes, but would it matter if it wasn't normal?

Are there any girls you know that you like? If not, try volunteering, a part time job, a sport etc. Increase the number of people you know and you're more likely to find someone you click with.

Don't worry about not being as 'experienced' as your mates. No one worth worrying about cares about it.

OP You sound just like me, but my situation is even worse - Im almost 19 and Ive never even kissed a girl for Christs sake! Im not ugly or a douchebag or anything like that, Its really my fault because I keep my friends at a distance and I dont go out, Im struggling with grades and I wanna get into my dream Uni. Ill open up more when I get a fresh new start.

Im not religious but I have my own traditional views, just not into the lad culture or the 'pulling scene', Im just myself. But yeah, I totally agree with you.

I always found it far more rewarding outside of clubs, since most girls who go for that sort of thing in clubs have no real standards anyway once the alcohol has taken effect.

I've had 3 serious relationships with girls.

Trust me on this, girlfriends are complete nutjobs, you don't want one til you're looking to settle down.

Nice little inspirational story, I lost my virginity at 21. I went on in that year to have more sex than most of my mates. One night stands are cool and all, but when you can have sex 2-3 times a night, 2-3 times a week... Simple math. It can all change very quickly. The problem is thinking it actually matters, it's all young male ego, it doesn't matter in the slightest.

You may think that matters now but you're really young, like really young. Just have fun before you start aging & going bald!

Seriously don't worry about it! I'm 17 too and I have never had a boyfriend or even been kissed (so you're ahead of me there). You just haven't found the right girl yet. Wait until you leave school and you will meet a whole lot more people

Even in uni I know people in their second year who haven't had a gf or bf. Don't worry about it. Don't compare your selves to others too much

I've just entered my first relationship at the age of 24. He is aware that I have no experience and he doesn't care and neither does anyone else.
