Well it depends which "Chinese" you're talking about..
Saying "translate into Chinese" is like saying "translate into Indian" !!
There's lots of Chinese dialects, most popular being Mandarin and Cantonese.
But anyway, here it is Mandarin:

你是哪国人?
ni shi na guo ren?

or you could also say:

你是什么地方人?
ni shi shenme difang ren?

(The last one literally means "Which place are you the people of?")

Yup that sounds right although in my case, i would say "Ngor hai heung gong yun"
Probly means the same thing but that makes more sense to me! (im crap at writing cantonese in english :p: )
