We (4 of us) have narrowed down the choice of a car rental while in Spain to the following two cars:
peugeot partner (or similar) Compact van 5 seater 4dr
or
opel astra 4dr (or similar) Compact 4dr

Which is the better option?
Looking for comfort as a priority.

Ones that are not damaged before you get in it would be a start. Most of the small companies crucify novices for little repair bills etc.

I always choose an airport for hire cars so as not to get done.
I'd just go for the Astra. No biggy.

Oh - these fooking ads. When are the admin team going to stop? Why not cover the whole fooking webpage in adverts

You sure they will allow you to drive either of those or were you not intending to? Most foreign rental firms do not allow under 21s (or even under 25s) with surcharge or otherwise, the few that do (e.g. Avis in some areas) force you to stay with their low band cars (smart car, VW fox..)

Just get something from a big company like Hertz or Avis, bit more expensive yes, but you have peace of mind that it is not a deathtrap you are driving!
