The Pill

I have just got the pill for the first time. My period is due in the next few days.. but i start the pill now, before my period, will it stop it from coming?

your doctor should of told you when you should start it but i got told to start it on the 5th day of my period.
im sure others will say different

I started in the middle of my cycle and didn't have a period til i finished the packet, but it depends on your body and the type of pill you have.

If youre period is due soon I wouldnt care to guess, if you were half way through your cycle I would have thought you wouldnt have had one.

i had to take my pill on the second day of my period, it had to be a proper period. Not the build up days with its more like spotting.

I had to start the pill on the first day of my period, then i had one after i fnished the packet!
Maybe you should seek advice from your doctor? They will tell you what to expect. Its better you get the correct advice otherwise you could be doing it wrong and it al only worry you! xx

I'm not entirely sure. It might do, it might not. Like other members have said, it depends on your body. However it is important to note if you are using it for a form of contraception, you will not be protected.
