    the term"chemist" also mean pharmacist in uk?

    well, i suppose yes at times chemist can mean pharmacist e.g. some say i'm going to the chemist when you're going to the pharmacy but not all chemists are pharmacists.

    Because Pharmacist in the UK = Registered Pharmaceutical Chemist (look at the certificate on the wall next time you go in). They also used to call the actual shops 'Dispensing Chemists'.
