sometimes its a surgical procedure, other times they'll just give her a pill, like RU486, which does the same thing...has she spoken to her GP about it?

shes made an appointment and shes going to the hospital then a clinic im worryed about her, she already has a son. and she wants to keep the baby but its not practical, as her boyfriend has ADHD and other probelms and she doesn't want to me a mother with two kids with different fathers, ,

shes my mate and im supporting her no matter what happens,

yeah, you don't need to worry, that's the job of the Gp's, nurses, etc.

They're there to make sure people know all the details

That doesn't merit an abortion according to the law.

thats awful but thank you!!!
If she is less than 9 weeks pregnant, then she will more than likely be given the abortion pill. She will go to the clinic for an initial check up where everything will be explained, then be given the first pill. Usually 48 hours after she will go back to the clinic again and be given the 2nd pill. Then she will have the abortion. Two weeks later she should go for a follow up to make sure everything went ok.

Well abortion is awful to be truthfully honest. Its murder.

ah i was wondering if you had done that on purpose. if it was you was pregnant and desperately didnt want a baby im sure you would feel differently. in the early stages it is nothing ike a fully formed human being therefore it isnt murder.

please, let's not get into whether it's murder or not...we could be here forever
Yea, I recently had a miscarriage at 7 1/2 weeks, and pictures like that are really awful to see without a warning.
sorry but people like that really piss me off. its not like women going for abortions dont feel bad enough as it is. its not fair to post photos that are specially composed to make it look like a dead person.

yes, but in fairness, she's not going for an abortion, her friend is....
this is a public forum. people who are thinking about abortions could look at the thread or someone like dita parlo whos just miscarried. not to mention that we keep being told kids can look at it so to keep it clean. would you really want a kid to see that photo?

God that picture D is horrible. I think it's right for people who are about to have an abortion to see stuff like that though as they need to understand what they are doing.
I feel bad for the person who miscarried though - that must be an awful thing to see.

I agree completely.

I think that picture should be spoilered, because not all people will want to see that - The actual procedure pictures aren't that bad, it's just the last one showing the foetus - an abortion is a terrible thing to go through, and if someone who's had an abortion sees that it can/will seriously affect them.

EDIT: Sorry, I've just looked at it again and I don't even think the picture should be there - it was unnecessary - the procedure can be explained without the need for a diagram which can be distressing.

I agree if lovelee-jublee agrees.
This is a better page for understanding abortion, procedures and consequences/after effects, with no controversial diagrams, just text - http://www.fpa.org.uk/guide/abortion/index.htm
