A little history lesson for you:

Seige of the Vatican Mission, American Invasion of Panama - Concerning seposition of General Manuel NoriegaThe American military's psychological pressure on him and diplomatic pressure on the Vatican mission, however, was relentless, including the playing of loud rock-and-roll music day and night in a densely populated area. As a result, Noriega finally surrendered to the U.S. military on January 3, 1990.

So, listen to the first song they played, and imagine it at a volume not even the largest stadium bands can generate, with the densely packed streets reverberating with the initial notes of....

Ah yes...and more recently American interrogators in Baghdad used heavy metal songs to 'break' Iraqi captives, apparently...

"American officials said subjecting prisoners to long sessions of the "culturally offensive" music encouraged them to talk"
"These people haven't heard heavy metal before, they can't take it." Sergeant Mark Hadsell
As you said, the music was played at a stupidly loud volume, but this time in a small dark chlostrophobic room with flashing strobe lights.

    the interrogators' favourite tracks were

    Metallica - Enter Sandman

    Drowning Pool - Bodies.

Enter Sandman would be fantastically loud and shouty, yea...

The reason with Noriega was that he hated rock music but was a massive opera fan...I dont think you can have a more perfect first track than welcome to the jungle though - it just lays out intent so well....

Perhaps Ironman would've scared him ****less though...

Yep, day and night at full volume, could make anyone surrender after a while.
