Confused about a LSE statistic

Hey!

I am confused about this:

LSE Accounting says about 2011/2012: average starting salary £46,600 for postgraduates.

But in graduate destinations by course its:

MSc A&F: £33,000

and for MSc AOI: £28,000

What is wrong?

I think you should email their department just to see what they respond with!

The first screen-shot mentions specifically 2011/2012, while the other two thumbnails contain aggregated data spanning from 2009 until 2012; if anything, improvements in market conditions, inflation (and thus salary increases overall in the field) could potentially be reasons why the numbers for the most recent years are higher.

Thumbnail 2 and 3 contain data for different courses, so it's probably just the numbers teased out separately for graduates holding each particular type of diploma.

Unless you're asking why there's a discrepancy between 33K and 28K leading to an average of 46K, in which case the first paragraph (above) may be why; alternatively, are there other MSc courses considered to be part of Accounting? That could also affect the averages.
