What does metallic bonds form between?

Do they only form between metals of the same kind for example iron cations or does it also occur for example in alloys such as brass?
Thanks

Alloys as well.

Sometimes it gets more complicated, as some things that one would expect to be alloys are actually compounds (like caesium auride), so it is not always automatic - but in most cases you can safely assume a metal alloy to have metallic bonds. Especially if it conducts electricity.
