Pencillin + Alcohol?
Im taking Pencilillin until Monday, but going on a girly holiday on Sunday.
Is it true i cant drink whilst taking them? Im not overly-bothered but would rather know for sure, Thanks

you're not really meant to take them together no but I did at christmas....just do it in moderation if you're going to....
^^ Thats what i was thinking, i searched on Google but theres no real answer. Some say 'theres no significant chemical reactions between penicillin and alcohol' and others adivse you to avoid alcohol.
I think ill probably just see what happens and if i do drink, ill take it easy

Basically, nothing bad's gonna happen, it's not gonna knock you out or anything, it's just they advise not to drink alcohol with everything because people's bodies act differently and sometimes, if your blood thins from alcohol the drug may have a weird affect on you.

Well your not gonna die i don't think but it's not a good idea to get wasted.
drink very little while on it, i was on 4 tablets a day and drank 3 cans of cider and was hammered, so be very careful!

Fair enough....
From experience though I wouldn't take one thing off the net's opinon I know enough about pharmaceutical drugs and prescribed medicines that you have to have loads and loads of opinions and evidence for something to be decided.
You'll be OK i think, usual advice is you can have a drink. but not get absolutely hammered...after all your bodies trying to fight off an infection and needs as much help as possible.
Your thinking of other antibiotics such as metronidazole which you should NOT drink on.
