I try and drink between one and two litres a day, but it doesn't always work every day. It is a lot, but its worth fitting into your daily regime as you'll really feel the difference in things such as your skin.

A full one of these is one glass.
I'm impressed if someone can have 15 of these in a day.

And yes, 15 of those a day is very possible and a lot do it + more.

No not really cos you're lying.
12 glasses in 6 minutes
=> 1 glass in 30 seconds

1 glass requires about 30 gulps
so 1 gulp a second.

Sorry i'm not buying it.

well you don't have to believe me but i can just tell you i felt so sick afterwards and was lying on the floor of our bathroom for about 30 min and slept the rest of the day.

Yeah, whatever.

You dont believe me? Oh no...

When your at work from 7am till 5pm (10 hours - i will work that out for you), drinking a small bottle of water in an hour is not a difficult task especially in an office climate which is very dry...

As i say, im not asking you to believe me, im telling you...
yeah i heard that too but i would prob throw up before then if i tried so i got nothing to worry about lol

I drink mostly water. But not 8 glasses. Did you know the human body consists mainly of water?

You know what Profesh Weasley would say to that...

Hello.
I drink about 10 glasses of water a day.

It can indeed be deadly if you drink too much water as it waters down the sodium in your body (sodium transmits brain signals in neurons "sodium channels").
Read this for more info:

The death toll /illness at last years Flora Marathon was attributed in part to this condition.

to come back to widowmakers statement, i just tested again how long it does take to drink a glas of water of the size pictured above:
it needed on average 5 gulps and not 30 and it took me 10 seconds instead of 30sec as calculated by you.

Okay, I never have this much water a day or at least I don't think I do.
I had a tea this morning, and I've had 5 large glasses of water so far today. I actually feel quite sick now. Can anyone else admit to drinking 8 large glasses of water a day?

Large as in what? I think I probably drink about 8 pints most days, but it is all I ever drink, except milk and protein shakes and the like. Too much can be a bad thing though.

LOL! You actually counted the number of gulps. I just chose a random number to make it seem impossible and to make the poster look stupid.

You drink twice the required amount per day. That is too much in my opinion.
I think too much can be harmful, especially if it is drunk in a short space of time but you do need plenty in hot weather and if you have been exercising.

I drink about the same and have seen no symptoms to suggest it's too much. I feel really dehydrated if I drink much less. It's not like I sit down and down 8 pints within an hour, it's spread over the day. Say I'm awake from 9am-12pm, that's a 15 hour day. That's just over half a pint per hour which really isn't very much at all, very easily done.
I think i drink alot more then the required amount, but thats becasue i drink out of a pint glass the whole day.

like squirly said there are alot of hours in a day... but i think excess water consumption could lead to strain on the kidneys.... but i think thats only in extreme cases, nothing to worry about in most cases
