They aren't. But I know what you're getting at and you're right that they need to do far more about feminism where it's a real matter than squabbling over Barbie and Ken. However, a lot of them are hesitant over speaking out against different cultures lest they be labelled racist.

It has everything to do with apostasy.

apostasy:
Abandonment of one's religious faith, a political party, one's principles, or a cause.

"Allah's Apostle never killed anyone except in one of the following three situations: (1) A person who killed somebody unjustly, was killed (in Qisas,) (2) a married person who committed illegal sexual intercourse and (3) a man who fought against Allah and His Apostle and deserted Islam and became an apostate." - [Bukhari 83:37]

Doesn't the Quran-10:99 say ""Had your Lord willed, everyone on earth would have believed. Do you then force people to become believers?" "
"And had your Lord willed, those on earth would have believed - all of them entirely. Then, [O Muhammad], would you compel the people in order that they become believers?" - [Qur'an 10:99]

This verse doesn't refer to apostates. It refers to those who were never Muslims.[/QUOTE]

I was under the impression that those verses related to periods of war and apostasy became akin to treason but fundamentally there was no compulsion in faith. I.e 15:2-3 "Again and again will those who disbelieve, wish that they had bowed (to God's will) in Islam. Leave them alone, to enjoy (the good things of this life) and to please themselves: let (false) hope amuse them: soon will knowledge (undeceive them)."

8:29 "Say, 'The truth is from your Lord': Let him who will believe, and let him who will, reject (it):

10:99-100 "If it had been thy Lord's will, they would all have believed, all who are on earth! wilt thou then compel mankind, against their will, to believe! No soul can believe, except by the will of God

No offence dude you've made your religion look really bad here, and I usually stick up for Muslims.

i repped him. i love it when muslims don't beat around the bush and make you ask the the same question 15 times before giving you an honest answer. while i find his views despicable, i admire his honesty. and that's all i can really ask for.
I wa under a different impression tbh :dontknow:

I shan't change what my religion says to satisfy others. A question was asked and I merely quoted the Qur'an and Hadith regarding the subject.

i have a few theories :

1. because the enemy is the so called white male patriarchy and the enemy of my enemy is my friend

2. because outlining the issues that affect muslim women would make barbie&disney look like laughable non-issues, which they already are to anyone with more than 3 brain cells.

3. because they are extreme leftists and picking on any kind of minority is wrong even when it would be right ( never go against the family, mafia type rules).

Feminists do speak out against the oppression of women in Islamic countries, and in other countries especially in the developing world where they have very patriachal societies and women suffer large scale abuse, it happens in Africa, it happens in Asia etc.

If you actively take an interest in politics or particularly development issues you will know this.

If the extent to which you take an interest in feminism is posting about it on TSR then you probably won't, your debate is going to be restricted to why you can't get a job/relationship in the UK because feminism is stopping you.

I thought it would have been 'non-white' would imply deviation more (separating 'white' from every other nationality/race/tone). I'm sure there's probably a better term for both labels.
Yeah but then you could use 'non-black' or 'non-asian' depending on the situation. After all, that's what 'gentile' means. We literally have to separate the whites in this instance, because that's the racial boundary we're talking about.

not even talking about islamic countries necessarily , but the millions of muslim women that now live in the western world. these are women who deal with real problems , yet instead they always moan about retarded issues like why does m&s designate toys for boys or girls . or the latest disney movie. or men's golf clubs (while women should be allowed to keep their own segregated clubs).
Its not just Muslim women, its everyone who identifies as a feminist. Granted, some may talk about real issues, but those real issues involving Muslim women are always things that ostracise them from the 'movement'. They judge a Muslim woman's personal decision, that she has identified as such, and scream oppression. Lets deal with real oppression like rape victims in Afghanistan that see no better choice than to marry their rapist! Its like they can't get pass the Burka! There is too much propaganda surrounding the issue, that it has made people overlook life and death situations.

Feminist don't want to deal with real issues in a mature way. They are feminist by name but they don't actually do anything for women of all backgrounds. They select the type of woman they want to represent (the middle-class white woman) and deal with issues that only affect her. Muslim women in the West, I believe, don't feel welcomed in the 'movement' and those who are, work in perimeters created by new age feminism.

My belief about feminism is that today, it lacks the sisterhood it once had, it has divided women up and nobody is working towards a greater good.

I don't think they are quiet. There is plenty of feminist literature criticizing Islam and/or Muslims, if you'd care to look.

Oh, and we can't forget this:
