Sky Sports News has just had this breaking news through - seems there may
still be hope for England.....

It has been alleged that one of the Portuguese players failed a drugs test
after the match with England. If this is confirmed as positive, under FIFA
regulations, paragraph 6 sub section 2e, Portugal will forfeit the
quarter-final match and England will progress to meet France in a
re-arranged semi-final later this week!!!!!

I've pasted the full story below.

Carlsberg dont post on forums, but if they did, they would probably be the
best forum posts in the world.

Good point. :whip for oneway not bothering to change that ridiculous error:
It should be "Carlsberg don't do forum posts, but if they did, they'd probably be the best forum posts in the world"...mind you, reading the 'story' it's pretty clear that it's fake, even without the bit at the bottom...and hearing that England could advance to the final would hardly be great news to me :p: I'm happy now that the TV adverts aren't flooded with random people shouting "Come on, England!!!", which has been the case ever since they were knocked out. I'm happy now that I hopefully won't be hearing more references to 1966 (July '66 being "A great month in football", according to one of the ITV commentators - you can't imagine just how much I wanted to strangle the commentator when he made that comment...actually, maybe you can - imagine how you felt when Cristiano Ronaldo scored that final penalty that knocked England out; your hatred for him at that moment was probably similar to my hatred for the commentator ).
