Did anybody go to the "Nottingham Malaysia" for Exchange Program?

I'm eager to know how did you find the international campus of Notts in Malaysia. Is the quality of education (lectures, tutorials, lab sessions, etc) same as that of the UK campus? Do they have UK lecturers?

Did you like the campus, its location, and facilities? What other things have you found common with the UK campus?

Sorry for asking too many questions, but I really need to know this for making a decision of studying there.

Cheers,
Ashique
I've also applied for malaysian nott this yr. u can check the link below for detailed explanation:

Can you please describe how it is like to study in the Notts Malaysia campus? Life in Semenyih, etc?

From your other thread, I got to know that you're willing to transfer to another uni. Can you please share your experiences to reach the decision of leaving Notts?

btw, thanks for dropping by.

hey bro, heres da thing. honestly, da uni is awesome, woth almost all facilities available, but lif at semniyh suks. its like livin in a good uni, wit jungle on da 2 sides, and no civilization. "THERE ARE NO STREET LIGHTS OUTSIDE, I MEAN DA ROAD DA GOES OUT OF NOTTS UNI, ITS DAMN RISKY THR" and it takes an hour 2 goet 2 a civilized place. surely da education is of rich quality, da modules text books n study materials are da same as in uk, n sum lecturers r british, but ull get da feelinf dat ur in a damn lonely area, ull be felein lik sumtings missing, and abov all, u can stay in da campus residence 4 a max of 1 acadamoc yr n afta dat ull hav 2 mov 2 da offcampus residence whic luuks lik, trust me, a deserted n haunted lonely lodging besinde n undernith da hills n mountains. dats vry much it.
thanx bro for all the info you've provided here honestly. No wonder my dad dint like the idea of mine to transfer/enrol in the notts malaysia campus!

is not that bad, the campus is located at seminyih which consider an rural area...it around 40 minutes drive away from the capital. and there is bus you can take....
From photos I have seen it looks pretty modern, and I have heard of lecturers and professors etc from the home campus going over there, so I believe most of the teaching is done by them.

Semenyih, to malaysian, this name sounds like a malay word "hutan"

You guys know what is "hutan" mean?

Its mean "Jungle"

Yes its true in the picture it looks ****ing modern but the problem is the ****ing weather, im a malaysian i can honestly tell you the average temperature always above 28 degrees and normally it maintain above 30 and i do hope that u really enjoy the weather MORE than your study.

i hope you guys will seriously think about this issue becuz its not only concern abt your study, you also have to consider the public security.

Semenyih fully loaded with lots of worker whose race is...sorry i cant tell it sounds like im a racist but those worker are those so called low-level income worker, when they need money they can even kill their own family or watever, especially in their mind, student normally juz ****ing loaded

For me, even u give me a full scholarship, i also have to seriously consider abt goin there, its hell, trust me

If you really want to study there, fine, no leisure like u have in england, no bars no party life no strip dance no condomn selling machine in your toilet, what you have to do is behave like an idiot staying in your study room after finish cls.
Woah hold on a second, the temperature etc is no real problem and I am in Singapore which has an identical climate, and I don't even have an aircon room although admittedly like everywhere else is aircon.

That stuff about not having a good nightlife in malaysia is rubbish, you can go to KL and go out then find somewhere to stay in a backpackers place just for one night for cheap as ****... dont like the sound of that security thing though, that's one good bit about Sing, there aren't many dodgy folks here.

lol, we were told there's a massive fence around the whole malaysia campus, in order to keep undesirables out!
