Who is wrong and who is right?

SO today I was at a party with my friend, who was originally getting a lift home with me.
She got really drunk..
At around 11 I asked her if she was still coming back with me because I was leaving soon and she was like "nah I wanna stay till like 12:30 so im gunna get a taxi"
So then I just got a text saying "why did you leave without me?" and I was like "because you said you wanted to stay and you would get a taxi" and she was like "I WANTED A LIFT"
Am I in the wrong?

i think appropriate action would be quite short of begging for forgiveness..or losing sleep over it...more like a slap in the face is in order

Her to me or me to her.

her fault. that is, assuming you weren't drunk and did hear her correctly
Reply 6
it is her fault.
you asked her if she was coming back with you and she said no.
if you said no she cant blame you for leaving

me to her! your guilt is confusing you! no reason to feel guilty...if she said "i was hoping youd stay and make sure i was ok" then cue guilt

She was drunk and didn't have a clue what she was saying.

You're both wrong.

(I'm right.)

who the hell cares? if she's your friend, she'll get over it.
This happens to me all the time, provided you told your friend you were going then she is in the wrong, she was drunk, not unconscious, got to take some responsibility for her own actions.

That is true. Plus she saw me leaving..its not like I crept out. I said bye to her and stuff.

I know she will be pissed off for ages about this...but lets be honest she was getting a taxi anyway so its not like I just left her with nothing anyway.
I'm just kinda worried because shes really drunk and if anything happens to her its basically my fault.

nahhh it's not really. i think if a friend was drunk i wouldn't take anything they said seriously, but i would also not get so stupidly drunk that a friend had to be responsible for me, so i think you are both half wrong. actually she's 60% wrong and you 40%.

Her mum called me up on the way home too and was like "yea why isnt she going home with you?" and I was like "ur well she said that she wanted to stay later so shed get a taxi...ur..sorry I should have called you" and she was like "yea you should have but its ok hun" but she didnt shout or sound angry.
I'm not her mother, it wasnt my job to drag her out of the house when shed had a civilised conversation about leaving by taxi and for her to throw up in my car.

Damn... so much for prosecuting you...
You went home at 11? That's a bit wrong, yes. So is going home at 12:30 though!

BUt, seriously, if she said she was getting a taxi then it's her problem. If she's old enough to drink she's old enough to get herself home.

Have to be awake at 6am tomorrow..:eek2:
So i thought it'd be better to come back earlier and have some sleep rather than being completely knackered tomorrow and not be able to enjoy the occasion
tell her to sod off , my friends can be similar to yours, if i do it one time, every time we go out then on, they'll be like, are you actually gonna stay this time or leave me again. Its like ffs, i want to go home, so either come now or don't, don't whinge about it ! You can't be expected to stand round all night waiting on your drunken friend all night. Don't feel guility , and if her Mum makes any more sly remarks tell her where to go aswell.
