FireDeuce
Have to be awake at 6am tomorrow..:eek2:
So i thought it'd be better to come back earlier and have some sleep rather than being completely knackered tomorrow and not be able to enjoy the occasion

Staying up here and asking a question you probably already know the answer to probably won't help your early awakening tomorrow. It's her stupid fault.

if i were in your position and my friend was getting drunk, i wouldn't feel comfortable with leaving her to get a taxi unless i knew exactly who was sharing that taxi with her.
if she was planning on getting one on her own, i'd drag her out of there. perhaps with the bribe of "lets go to mine and have a bottle of wine and bitch about everyone's outfits whilst in comfy beds, yes?"

saying that, if she had a serious selfish streak i'd have a word with her about sorting herself out somewhat... i give lifts to people who need them, but i have to admit that when people say "aw, i hate to ask, but could i have a lift?" it bugs me a lot..

I think your not wrong at all, i mean arguing with a drunk person is completely pointless anyway, they are mostly oblivious to common sense, and if she was having a conversation and her texts are coherant she will hopefully be able to get herself home safe (tho the fact she cant remember you leaving isnt great!)

BUT i have never left a drunk friend, however thats because it only happens rarely and its kind of the unspoken rule that we keep an eye out for each other, its not like we expect to be babysitting each other every weekend

No your not in the wrong. Chances are she hasnt been able to get a taxi and was hoping you might still go get her

Reply 26

You are not her taxi service.

Reply 27

You should have forced her. Preferably with force.

Yuo weren't wrong, but if she was a good friend and she was really drunk I would have tried to persuade her to come back with me and if not at least make sure she had a taxi booked and sorted and left her with someone remotely sober to make sure she got home ok. And then texted her first thing in the morning to check she was home safe
