Threes a crowd....

I have two best friends. I've known one of them for 10 years...we went to primary school and high school together and we're in sixth form now. I'm just gonna call her FRIEND X so no one gets confused. My other best friend i've only got to know in a year and a half, and i'm gonna call her FRIEND Y.

Well, basically, i've been saying some things to FRIEND Y about FRIEND X because i feel that FRIEND X is spending too much time with her other group of friends and i feel replaced. Now, i've found that FRIEND Y is so damn rude!

FRIEND X unexpectedly arrived at my house the day before yesterday and it was her b'day, so she wanted to go to the location with me, as she didn't want to be alone. when FRIEND Y found out, she went away, and when i followed her coz i sensed something was wrong, she was crying and said to me "You always bitch to me about FRIEND X and yet you came here with her, i feel stabbed in the back..."

First of all, she bitches too. Second of all, even when i did explain to her that the visit was unexpected, she was rude to me. i can't tolerate it. and when FRIEND X came, i told her what happened and she too got upset. and no matter what, it was FRIEND X's bday. Its dread on FRIEND X.

I love FRIEND X a lot and i've just realised how much she means to me after y'day and i feel so bad in saying anything bad about her. and as for FRIEND Y, i cant be friends with a girl who treats me like crap and doesnt trust me. Shall i tell FRIEND X the truth that i kinda did bitch and im really sorry? What shall i say to FRIEND Y? BAre in mind that FRIEND Y has a hot temper.

You are the one who's been rude. It's all pretty immature, but I can totally see why friend Y would be annoyed, she clearly thought she was your best friend since you were bitching about friend X. It's funny because the reason you were annoyed with friend X (basically for favouring other friends over you) is the same reason that friend Y is annoyed with you, yet apparently you're right and friend Y is wrong.

Learn from this and stop bitching. But why can't friend Y be included in your things with friend X? A bit more maturity here wouldn't go amiss.
