I was going out with a girl last week, we had lunch and chat. I made mistakes and it ended.

Any good advice/ bad advice?

??? don't make mistakes in the future? that's about the extent of any 'good' advice you'll get based on the information you shared. I'm also not sure why you'd be interested in bad advice. :/

Communicate. That could solve 99% of "problems" in the relationship forum on this site.

Honesty and openness. Being open skips guesswork between each other and leaves no room for ambiguity. When I'm open as possible people just say "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING, YOU CAN'T SAY THAT" but if something needs to be said, it better be said! No nonsense, just get straight to the point.

"Treat them mean keeps them keen"

More like "treat them mean and their dad will threaten to kick your ass"
