Does he like me?
I'm an 18 yr old female, and 8/9 months ago my 22 year old nextdoor neighbour who I have a huge crush on went away to travel the world. A week or two before on a Friday night he left he asked me if I wanted to go out with him and his mates to the pub but I was about to go to a friend's house so I couldn't. When I told him this he looked really sad and he went quite red when he was asking me. I never got a chance to say goodbye to him before he left, but I wanted to. Now he's coming back home next week and I'm not sure if he likes me or not. Plus, is there any point in telling him I like him when I'm going to uni in October and he's probably going back in the army. I don't know what to do! I really really like him but....

Go round and ask how he's been and tell him if he's still up for it you wouldn't mind going for a drink if he's not busy some time.

Sorry to be the devils advocate, but it's unlikely he was looking for a relationship so soon before jetting off. It's more likely he wanted to get laid before he went.
I say suss him out before you go and speak to him. It's worth a try, but be weary...

I disagree, the guy may have thought well if she knocks me back I won't have to see her for a while. Not all guys want to get laid (well straight away!) I would see how he's getting on and casually ask what he mean't before he left. At least you will be able to clear your conscious.
