you know taking a mortgage out is haram but takink an halal mortgage is kind of the same you pay monthly but you just call it rent and when the intrest rates goes up the rent goes up, so they just using the same meaning but in a diferent way into getting more people to buy mortgages, so is it halal to take any kind of mortgages?

Consult someone specialised in Islamic jurisprudence for queries of such a potent nature. I doubt any of us are qualified enough to judge something so specific.

Btw, how do you know it's just the interest rates that are causing them to increase prices? Inflation and other economic factors?

because my cousin is a mortage advisor, he told me when the intrest rate goes up, then you have to pay more in the month unless you took out a fixed mortgage(haram), and for halal then it goes up 2

how does one go about by giving dawaah to non muslims?

its just that, ive given people dawah before at college and school, cut all ive done is kind of give them reasons and hadiths etc

one of my teachers at colege whose muslim wasnt practising before but then she came to me and asked for advice about the hijab etc.. alhamdulilah i was able to give it to her and so shes kind of following in the right path now. The other day she asked me on the bus why i wear an abaya, i gave her reasons etc

so i was just wondering how do you all give dawah? :smile:

Basically, I know that you can't take interest and all that and can't have anything to do with gambling/alcohol etc..but like other things like for example, someone told me Investment Banking was haraam, and someone once even told me accountancy was :confused:

How is accounting haraam? :eek2:

I doubt it is, and it's the first time i'm hearing it... As for banking, there are differing views. Also, differing jobs under the banner of banking.

And no, i highly doubt law is haraam. You can be a lawyer and avoid such things you've mentioned. And taking sides? How does a court system exist in Saudi Arabia under Shari'ah? Surely there are the equivalent of secular lawyers to argue cases... Also, what about the concept of mashurah? Surely it's there to come to some sort of decision (it's main purpose)

my nighbour and i were talking about it the other day
and she was telling im good at it and i should have my own organistaon etc. where i invite both muslimms and non muslims and discuss issues :smile:
