A man comes to your house and claims to be a Muslim brother, he has no place to stay and plans to set up a new life in your area. do you:

a) offer him accomodation until he sorts himself out, for a reasonable rent

b) ask if he has money, and if he does show him the way to the nearest B&B

c) offer him food and drink before waiting for him to leave

d) reply to his salaams at the door, refuse to let him in and point him in the direction of the nearest mosque

e) make a decision on what to do based on his appearance

f) offer him/insist he stays at your free of charge until he sorts his stuff out.

Well this actually did happen to us! :eek:

But my Mama gave him food drink and 50 quid but would not let him in as my dad was not home and did not wish to let him in. I think it was Ramadhan last year.

The reason why I asked this was because I recently visited Jordan, and in my time there, I met a guy who was the friend of a friend. This brother, took me in, let me stay at his for free, wouldnt let me pay for anything, provided me with food and at the same time took me all over Jordan for free.

Since then, my views have really changed on hospitality.
