it might turn out to be a really good day or a dissappointing day but anyway.......
If you worked your hardest then you don;t have much to worry about even though it is easier said than done! Just try not to think about it too much whatever happens there's a reason behind it

You're right...I just found the hadeeth. I always thought it was the whole body...
Either way, I've searched the internet and according to Islam-QA, removing hair from the body that has not been forbidden, is completely allowed. It's recommended if it is for beauty purposes. After all, Allah is Beautiful and loves beauty!
Note- Shaving the head for women is forbidden as well.
