Sorry about the late reply about the Big Link dinner..
(Original post by Socrates)
I do, and not very far from Lords, so may consider going if I'm free on the day.

the true question is....................will there be free cookies??? if yes, then count me in! LOL
That'd be great. And they do provide food  Chicken and stuff, but it's different everytime. Not cookies :p: Part of the cost of the ticket is food, and the ticket isn't so expensive either.

Assalamu Alaikum everyone

InshAllah u are all well.

Farhan, the Big Link Dinner..whats gonna happen there? (apart from a big dinner? )
There're talks and presentations (awards for students etc) and then there's food #excited#

People from all over England come, Manchester Leeds etc. There's also stalls (you know how they are).

Salaamz goooner! lol

Well i think it is upto the woman and her husband to a certain extent. If the family is struggling to make ends meet then she should work, if not then she does not have to. But it is upto her. But i hate the view that women should stay home and look after the kids. If she wants to fine if not then she should not really be forced to.

I would like my sister, cousins etc and wife to work.

I'm not really sure really... I know there was the 1983 riots and all but when the actual date/ year that sparked things off i'm not sure. Perhaps '83 was the start...
