Well those who are related to our Prophet are called Syeds. Just found this:

Ala Hazrat Imam Ahmad Raza Khan radi Allhu Anhu says: if a Syed commits a crime (Allah Forbid) than Qazi (judge of the court) should make intention “I’m removing the dust from the foot of the Prince” Subhan Allah Azzawajal.

Once a Syed sahib without beard came to visit Braili Sharif, Hujja tul Islam Hamid Raza Khan rehmatullah Aliah gave him great ovation.

A jealousy person asked “’ isn’t it Haram to respect a “Fasiq”? {a person having no beard is also Fasiq}

Elder son of Ala hazrat radi Allahu Anhu , Hujja tul Islam Hamid Raza Khan rehmatullah Aliah fast replied! Yes its Haram to respect a Fasiq but if he is non-Syed. {if a Syed sahib is committing Fisiq, don’t abuse him}

Ameer-e-Ahlesunnat Maulana Muhammad Ilyas Qadri says: if any unknown person comes to you who claim to be a Syed, you must respect him, don’t try to investigate, this is not the respect of a person; it’s the respect of the relation (Nisbbat) with Prophet Salallahu Alieh Wassalam.
