Secret government report has leaked where the government basically admit that everyone's concern are true and likely to happen

- the report firstly suggests it is likely that there will be a massive influx because the UK is very attractive even though Cameron, Clegg and Miliband have cosntantly been saying numbers will be low ebcause the borders open to all nations
-Report also says they will lower wages and decrease tax revenues
- It will impact on schools and hospitals who will be unable to cope
-Also admit there will be an increase in benefit claims from them and they have a ver high level of unemployment
- It also admit there is a high possibility of tension and violence with immigrants who are already here

The truth will out

Secret government report? Ooooh, the higher ups must be quivering! Mwhahahaha, we the people have destroyed them this time!

Unfortunately, however, this report was written by academics at the University of Reading, not the government. The closest thing the document has to the government is that it was commissioned by a migration group that is funded by the Home Office. I doubt it was of any concern to Cameron, Clegg, ect, ect...

Love how the DM depicted "Romanians and Bulgarians" with a picture of some travellers on a park bench. Why not a businessman in a suit? They're not all like that

Do you both just needlessly ramble on about a newspaper to look 'cool.' The DM is just the same as any other newspaper. It's only because this place is a left wing cesspit that it gets a bad rap. The Guardian is just as bad.

Last time I checked the Financial Times was not bending the reality and dispensing falsehood.

Every newspaper does. To think different is reflected in yours and others foolishness to constantly rebuke the DM.

To be fair, the Daily Mail gets a bad rap because it is so hard to separate fact from fiction.

That could easily apply to any newspaper, unless the Guardian has started footnoting all of it's sources...

The Guardian show the Daily Mail how to do it. Fiachra Gibbons article rushed out in the hours after the Toulouse shootings in a desperate attempt to deflect the blame from Islamist terror. Every other news provider was waiting for more solid evidence rather than speculating and pointing the finger. Gibbons pointed the finger firmly at the French right wing elements. Even when proved totally false and islamists were the terrorists (shock horror) the paper never printed a retraction. they just acted like it had never happened. ..http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2012...rt-of-comments
The Guardian have never apologised for this ****

Borders open tomorrow and the true extent of government lies are exposed

Despite Tories and Labour promising numbers would be low because the border is opening to other nations flights, buses and trains to the UK all sell out with some airlines doubling the number of seats- http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti....html#comments

why do you think it is alarmist when the things stated are true. Many (not all) are coming here for the benefits and other things they can get which they have freely admitted and for those who do want to work we simply don't have the jobs when we have 2.5 million unemployed nor do we have the hospitals, schools or housing

Hardly alarmist when what is discussed is very true

The majority of the 2.5 million are unemployed because they lack the right skills. In fact, the unemployment is decreasing in the UK and there is an obvious trend that shows this. Moreover, the number of job vacancies is at a 15-year high.

Higher population = greater demand for goods and services = more jobs. Jobs are not a finite resource. Romanians/Bulgarians might 'take' jobs but they also create them.

Higher population = greater tax income = more spending on hospitals and schools. In fact, Romanian and Bulgarian immigrants' youth (as a generalisation) means they have the potential to help balance out Britain's ageing population, which could otherwise significantly reduce public spending per capita in the future.

Anyway, neither of us is going to convince the other so let's agree to disagree and all that jazz.

Where did I do anything remotely close to what you're suggesting? Nice bit of ad hom; typical stuff. Surprise no even once.

My post didn't even criticise DM but way to go in jumping to conclusion.
Wanted to start another DM vs guardian debate did we?

Last time I checked 'tripe' was defined as 'rubbish.' Surely to call something rubbish is to criticise, or do we need to inform the writers of the Oxford Dictionary that the word has been redefined..

A bit touchy, aren't we?

The daily mail, the finest in sensationalised tabloid journalism, where no stereotype is ignored and no prejudice is unheard.
