Good luck to everyone. I managed to get pupillage in the last round, but I'll be lurking...happy to give advice and thoughts, for what they are worth. I do, at least, have plenty of experience at failed interviews.

I'll be applying this year. Going to get a few applications to commercial sets who have deadlines at the end of this month.

It's a pretty daunting prospect with all the various rounds of interviews and stuff. I feel as if this year will just be seeing what the process is like rather than actually getting a pupillage offer.

Anyone heard anything from Northampton Chambers? They are meant to be interviewing mid January.

300 is pretty standard really. More for the big sets.

Congratulations, GreenMatt, that's excellent news!

If you're offering, I'd love some advice...Didn't do too well in the last round.

Just bung me a PM if you've got any specific questions that I can help with.

I was lucky enough to be offered a 1st round IV at 2DJ. Anyone got any tips?

Anyone actually got a firm time & date for Northampton?
Here we all go again! Good luck everyone!

Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more!

just a quick question for the London based students (I guess you know London sets better than those on circuit!)...Considering applying for 7 Bedford Row. Website says top 6 Clinical Negligence and top set for complex fraud but it does have other practice area, such as employment which is what I'd like to do ideally. I know London sets specialise a lot more than their circuit counterparts though so do you guys know if it is more a case of Fraud/Clinical Neg first and the other practice areas are essentially there to support or is that set actually a mixed set?

It is a mixed set- one of the best in London actually. If you look a little below their tabs on clin neg and complex fraud you will find their tab on employment.

So I missed the 7 Bedford Roa deadline last night. Damn it.
