Hi doing A2 chemi coursework.
Does a catalyst produce a smaller gradient on the arrhenius plot i.e. does it have a lower activation enthalpy?
I am not sure - as the textbook says 'they do not lower the activation enthalpy, but provide an alternative pathway with lower activation enthalpy'.
In that sense, is the gradient (activation enthalpy) on the plot the same as an uncatalysed reaction????
