I've stopped losing weight,why?

do more strenuous exercise. more muscle mass will increase your metabolism, so you will burn off more energy, even in your sleep.

im not sure if you want to lose weight or specifically fat. if just fat, then definitely play sports, anything that will tire you out (if you can do 90 minutes straight of an activity, its not going to help burn off the last amounts of fat)

you seem very light for a guy your height anyway. how low a fat percentage are you trying to achieve?

i have know idea what my body fat percentage is. im just going by appearance.

well becuase i have abit of a tummy. and if i want to lose it, i have to lose weight. its not that i want to weigh less, i dont have a target weight or anything, i just want rid of the tum! and logic tells me i have to lose weight in order to get rid of the tum.


Maybe you should concentrate more on exercises on that specific area instead of spending hours on the exercise bike. Try doing more situps and less bike, you'll lose the gut faster and it'll become toned.

By eating so little and exercising so much you could be harming your entire body.

I think perhaps stomach toning exercises are a better idea here. I know you can't do spot fat weight loss but having a toned stomach will still mean that you hold yourself better and your stomach will look flatter. You may only percieve it a s abulge anyway when to others it just looks like a regualr rounded tummy, if you want it really shaped then stomach toning exercise are the only way towards this.

well thanks guys for all the advice, im just going to keep on going and ive decided to get a rowing machine to vary up my exercises. good idea?

according to bmi, i can lose a maximum of 8 pounds and still be in the normal range, so i'll aim for that.

If you do crunches you wont' lose tummy fat but you'll tighten up. Your stomach may look flatter if the ab muscles pull them in.

for sure, but if theres a layer of fat over it then theres not much point, i need to get rid of the tum. and im a little toned already, because when i lie down and tense, you can just see 4 abs and certainly feel them above my belly button. but thats only in the morning, lol:p: the problem is the tum near my belly button.
