Could this be due to Microogyn 30?

Hey
Ive been on the Pill (Microgynon 30) for 5 days now and ever since i started taking it ive been getting mild stomach pains at least once a day. The pain isnt really bad or anything, but it's uncomfortable. I looked at the instructions and they said that some mild symptoms from takin the pill might be stomach problems and weight gain but that the effects shld wear off after a few months! Im going to stay on it for now, but did anyone else experience things like this on the pill (different one, or the same?) Ive also been having quite bad mood swings, like been a bit moody and depressive recently when im normally a really happy person! Im willing to put up with all this if the effects subside, but just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced anything similar and whether it'll stop!!? Thanks xx
Heya, im on microgynon 30 aswell, and i didnt find it gave me stomach pains, stay on it for a month or so, as your body is probably trying to adjust to it. But if the pains continue then i guess you could change the type of pill you are on. But microgynon 30 does make me feel hungry and tired (hopefully my side effects will settle aswell) anyway hope it clears up for u xx

I'm on that pill and I didn't really experience any side effects to be honest

I don't have any side affects to it at all...apart from little moodswings for about the first month or two its been great for me.
I'd continue with your pack, wait till you've finished it and see how that feels, if your side affects don't stop go back and see your gp.
Oh great starting to feel abit worried now...

Don't worry about it...go to the doctor if your that concerned..it woudln't do any harm. There's loadsa different types of pills anyway so maybe this one just isn't suiting your body.

don't be worried, i'm sure your not going to collapse or anything
It might not even be the pill, don't get yourself worried.
im actually hoping it is the pill, at least then i know theres not something wrong with me...!
It definitely sounds like it's the pill. I never had any side effects, but I hear most side effects tend to go away after a few months (or weeks?)...

I'm not taking microogyn 30, i think mine is called co-cyprindiol, but when i first started taking it i suffered from the side effects quite badly. I became very low and depressed for a while and i am usually a very cheerful sort of person, and i also had random stomach pains. But after a month or two all the side effects just vanished.. just stick with it
I had pains when i started taking mycrogynon 30 but i got cramps before that anyway - dont any more. Your Doc probably won't change it unless you try it for at least a month or two. I also got really bad moodswings, but everything was fine after 3 months or so.

Its just your body readjusting. If the pains get worse or become constant go see your doc. Otherwise just ride it out and im sure it will go away pretty soon.
when i first got mine, the doc just gave me 3 months then when i went back asked me if there was any problems with it...like others have said, just finisht he pack then tell your doc about your side effects!
That pill was awful for me, gave me terrible moodswings. its probably normal but if it persists, go back to the dr and change

Mood-wise I didn't get on with Microgynon 30, so I got transferred to 2 other pills before finding Femodene which seems to suit me fine. Talk to your doctor who may suggest something else.
i was like you, when i first went on microgynon 30 i started getting mild period-like pains, but they went away pretty quick. after the first or second month, anyway. i assume you'll have a month check up, so just tell your GP at that point just incase it's anything to worry about (doubtful).
as for mood swings, i don't think i had any on this pill, but i've never been bad for those at all. but yes... my previous advice works for this too.

Seems that your body is getting used to the pill you're taking. Finish what you started otherwise your hormones will go unbalanced and you may find you'll have your period very early! I used to be on this for abt a yr, but the side effects vary for everyone. I didnt experience any pains, but I did gain a little weight even though I used to eat next to nothing! It took me ages to take myself off it cos I intended to use it for a few months if that. I loved the idea of knowing when exactly I would have my period so I wouldnt make plans around the time. If you keep finding yourself in pain, talk to the doctor like the others said to try out a diff pill cos there are several others.

i was on that one. it gave me stomach pains, headaches and eventually i kept passing out....needless to say i had to drop it... if you start getting headaches, go see your doctor
