Who else thinks there should be a sticky on this kind of thing? The advice given is a load of crap usually, and I can't be bothered to write a big load of stuff all the time.
I constantly hear that low reps are better but im starting to think that mixing in some higher reps, say 20 reps is also extremly important.

Depends what you want, if it's just to build strength and size, doin 20 reps is going to do nothing for you, but if you want muscular endurance as well as strength and size then 20+ reps is what you need to be doing.
titanium it depends what you are training for, if you are in the marines and training for muscular endurance then higher reps will force your body to adapt to those demands

but the title of this thread was advice needed on "building muscle mass" which is what most people you will see at the gym are looking for, and to build mass you need to stimulate your body with as high a weight as possible, then eat and sleep enough to fuel the muscle growth. If you're doing 20 reps with something, it's not the highest weight you can use...probably 6-8 is about right.
